This runs a live request each time you load this page, and checks that the app can reach its database rather than just that it can serve a page.
What we actually promise
There is no uptime guarantee. Cortado runs in a single region on hosting tiers that don't offer one, and the terms say so plainly. Pretending otherwise on this page would be the wrong place to start being vague.
Your data is backed up nightly, encrypted, to storage that isn't the same machine or the same company as the database. A restore has been tested end to end rather than assumed.
Counting still works if we don't. The parts of the morning routine that matter most are the parts we most want to keep boring.
This page is hosted with the app. If the whole platform goes down, this goes with it and cannot tell you so. For that, email or call — a person answers.
Past incidents
Nothing recorded yet. That is because this page is new and Cortado has few enough customers that an outage would have been a phone call, not because nothing has ever broken. Anything from here on gets written down and stays written down.
